Since they first reached out in mid 2019, I’ve gotten to know Cristina + Chris well and feel lucky to have crossed paths with them. From the moment we met, they were full of life and so easy to talk to. Some people just feel familiar from the start — you know the type. We shot their engagement in Santa Cruz and not a moment went by that they weren’t laughing and joking and dancing around with each other.
2020 was meant to be a year of joy for them but grief struck instead, along with COVID. Even so, when the day came for them to finally get married, they were two of the most lighthearted and joy-filled people I’ve photographed. I admire them for their resilience and adore them as humans, and I’m honored to have documented these last two years with them!
