Victor + Josh’s wedding was special for quite a few reasons. 1) I married my husband at the same venue 4 years ago. To be back in the same spot, watching another two people say their vows under the same alter, was magical. 2) Christina was my second shooter this night, and together we photographed Victor + Josh around the same spots where she and her wife married just a few months ago. (Remember their wedding?)
But most importantly, the night was special because of the sheer amount of love and support that surrounded them. Yes, weddings are inherently love-filled. But LGBT weddings often come with an extra set of obstacles and support isn’t always a given. But on this night, under the moon with their closest people, support and love was an unwavering given. From the ladies tying Josh’s tie and the men fastening Victor’s cuff links, to the many, many glasses cheered, to Josh’s tear-jerker speech addressed to those who encouraged him to be his truest self – happiness spilled from this wedding and it was truly an honor to document it all.
