I photographed Ashley and Alex’s engagement session last fall and after seeing the effort she put into the details for just an hour long session, I was eager to see what magic she made with their wedding. Finally August came, and the day was just as beautiful as I expected. Vibrant summer florals, hand-painted table settings with a Spanish flare, champagne pops, a cigar bar (a surprise from Ashley to Alex), the list goes on.
Beyond all of the magazine-worthy details, though, was moment after moment of beautiful connection. Alex’s tearful expression when he saw her for the first time, vows read in both English and Spanish in honor of both families, the groomsmen’s emotional toasts, all of the parents watching and listening with pride. Ashley and Alex’s day checked every box of what a wedding should be about and I’m grateful I was there to witness it all.
