anna + christina / old sacramento LGBT wedding

I met Christina 4 years ago while photographing one of my very first weddings, the wedding of a mutual friend. We didn't talk much that night but I noted her camera and her constant giant smile. A while later, she reached out inviting me for coffee and photography talk, and the rest is history.

I've listened eagerly over the years as Christina debated when and how to propose to Anna, and watched as it all unfolded - Christina proposing to Anna and a few months later, Anna surprising Christina with a return proposal. We've logged endless hours of roadtrip conversations; we've talked light about wedding planning and heavy about the dynamics of a same-sex relationship in today's society.

Needless to say, Christina and Anna's wedding has been building up for quite a while. And, as weddings tend to do, it exceeded every expectation. I could describe it to you - the hand-picked details, the uniqueness, the dozens of tearful moments - but I'll just let the images tell the story.

{Christina and Anna, it was an honor to document this day that you put an incredible amount of work into, and an honor to call you friends. xo}
